Client

Azuli

Disciplines

UI Design, Utilitarian Design

Role

UX/UI Designer

Softwares(s)

Figma, Adobe Illustrator

Objective

Azuli is a fictional image-file manager desktop application, primarily used for (re)naming, (re)formatting, changing prefixes and suffixes, or numbering of sequences for multiple files all at once.

In this fun little project, I wanted to design a file manager software that requires minimal use, while also containing appealing design. The software should be easy to use and access with simple navigation and user-flow, compared to other softwares like NameMangler or Bulk Rename Utility.

The allignments are crucial for a simpler user interaction within the software. Though not relatively new, many other utilitarian designs somewhat do not use this. Resulting in a more difficult and tireing user-flow .

When doing this project, I felt it needed a more spacious not with just the grid and listing alignment, but also the minimalistic approach with the coding of the files as well.

Clickable meter tabs

To make it more understandable for the simplest mind, I added what I call “Clickable Meter Tabs” below the main tabs.

Reflection

I really love this project. Despite this being a College project, it really brought me into understanding Utilitarian or tech-savy design. The kind of design that would be made for software corperations or a related field. I would really hope to do more like this project in the future.

It doesn’t hurt (I promise).
